Default Whiteline Rear Diff bushings!!

Well i installed my rear diff bushings yesterday and felt a very nice difference. Just one queestion. When i installed these rear diff bushings all it was designed to do is lock up the bushings pretty much( which then has not as much movement). BUT their was a metal cap that went on iop of the top upper stock bushing. I did not install with that metal peice and hope I didnt f- something up

let me know if you have installed these before.
This is a 99 GC8 RS!!
Thanks
Richie racer

Are you talking about the KSB751? I've helped install a set on a WRX. We didn't have to use the smaller piece of bushing (as stated in the Whiteline instruction), but we didn't take off anything from the car.

Don't know if you still need the metal cap with the harden new bushing, I don't know what that piece is for. Why did you find it necessary to leave it out though?
But on the 02 there's 3 little notch that the metal cap locks into the bushing, which would be the place where that smaller bushing would sit.

I can really feel the NVH coming from the rear now. Don't know what everyone was talking about saying that it gets rid of the thumping when you shift. I can still feel it.

Yes exactly ! The metal top peice with the 3 little nipples in it. I removed that since i used it on one bushing and made it all bent and tweeked the bushing in a not safe form.
Thanks
richie

We need to get whiteline to confirm all this
