Default Best way to ship to Canada?

I need to ship an exhaust to Canada from Alabama, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to go about doing this the cheapest possible way. Any info is appreciated!!!

I've ordered lots of stuff from the states, and the "Brokerage Fees" really hurt, that's above the GST & PST (15%) OMG.

Best Carriers:
USPS (Sometimes the Canadian Gov't let's us get away with things)

FedEx: 50% Chance the destination address gets a bill for the taxes.

Absolute Worst Carrier to ship to Canada: UPS, do not ship by UPS. Their brokerage fees are enourmous, sometimes up to 40% of the cost of the product. OMG

Good luck, hope this helps.

I know if you get something shipped as a "gift" then you avoid brokerage fee's. What I don't know is if there is a size or weight limit that would cancel out this "gift" loophole. I had SS bushings sent to me as a gift and avoid $60 in brokerage fee's.

There shouldn't be a weight restriction if you declare it as a gift. Another way to avoid the crazy fees is to have the person sending it declare the value of the item very low... I think anything over $20 US and the brokerage fees start mounting.
