WRXURV8 had his painted for $150. They did a really nice job on his...

You could probably get them cheaper, but the quality may not be the same. Your call on what you want...

We had a group buy at a local shop, had 'em done for $70. Did a great job too. Find a shop who'll do a big group, set it up local, you'll see a real good turn-out, at a discount.

Cheers,
Grant

I've heard rumors from people that if your side skirts have been previously armorall'ed the paint has trouble adhearing. Any truth to this?

Whether the stock skirts have been cleaned with armorall or not doesn't matter....People have had adhearing issues without armorall being involved...That type of plastic just doesn't take paint well, it needs to be sanded down and prepped properly for the paint to stick at all, and even then, I've heard of some people putting 8 coats of paint on and still ending up with problems down the road. Just save your money at the body shop and spend the priced-lower-than-everyone-else $208 at Irvine Subaru for the OEM painted ones...You won't have to redo them down the road.

I have unpainted ones for sale, so you don't have to drive around skirtless for a week while you're having yours painted.

Perfect condition, $50 shipped.

I paid $100 for mine at a local bodyshop. If you want the paint to stick to your sideskirts just make sure that the bodyshop you take them to adds "flex additive" to the paint and clearcoat. Trust me, the paint will stick on thier like factory bought side skirts. When I used to have a Honda Civic I painted my stock side skirts back in 98 and I never had any problems with the paint staying on the side skirts.

Several guys here have had their stockers painted. Now they all have the OEM painted ones. Don't waste your time/money, do it right the first time. It'll cost about the same anyway.

How many of these people used a quality primer with flex agent added? How many had flex agent added to the paint? I did mine on a Saturday afternoon for around $60. I've hit many cones (autocross) and have plenty of rock chips on the front and underside of the skirts. Paint is still holding up great. Paintscratch.com will mix factory colored paint (in a spray can) with flex agent added. You can also order primer with agent added as well. Oh, and donít forget the clear coat
