I have a 99 RS and just put an ISR intake kit on it. When I put the filter on it hits a small sensor block with a vac. line comming into it, mounted on the shock tower. Can I move this, or how did you guys/gals with this intake get around it?
As for the intake itself, its real nice, the quality is good and it mounts the MAF solidly to the engines intake manifold. Any help would rock. I will be posting pics of the imstall monday. |

I needed to bend the L bracket, and not put the intake tube perfectly straight with the airbox to get mine to fit properly, and to have filter clear the wheelwell (mines a 00 version). Once you get it in, its pretty good!

My bracket was a little off, but tightening it got everything straight. It's impressive, but I wonder how Larry's intake compares (I got mine before it came along).
On the other hand, I've no complaints about my ISR. Except for the fact I have to keep the vent cover in place or else the filter gets wet. It's much better than stock. |

Thanks guys! I knew I could count on the 'clubbers to help me out. I reset my ECU last night so I will get to really check it out today.

This intake is great! I love it. It seems to have added power all over the rev. range and the sound is great, really aggressive up top and un-noticeable over the Stromung down low. The combo of the two sounds is wicked! It pulls smoothly and hard (much like a V6) to Red Line now, no more pull then a kick, as it hits 3500 to 4000 rpm like it used to. Seamless acceleration like a stock car, although much faster.
