That's typical for a decent exhaust, actually (assuming it includes muffler and midpipe).

Yes, that includes midpipe and catback. It is anticorrosive coated midpipe with a beautiful stainless rear section. My friend has this setup on his car. I have the Hyper Medallion on mine. They are the same price but different design and sound. BTW, that is not expensive for a catback exhaust. If you want inexpensive get Borla but I didn't like the way mine sounded. Kinda reminded me of an old VW Bug!

Just picture a motorcycle pipe coming out at an angle like the Apex N1.

Well, yeah, but I want specifics, like canister size. I've seen a few N1 exhausts, most notably the Apex'i, and I don't like them because I think that the canister is too big looking. I want one that's smaller diameter, any suggestions? You know the WRX commercial with the blue WRX and the rally car and stuff? Well, pay close attention to the exhaust on that car, I'm looking for something just like that. HELP ME!!

If you want that angled N1 style. I think the Apex canister is the biggest, then the Tanabe, and the 5zigen is the smallest, not 100% sure though. I think HKS makes one too, but I haven't seen it.

I plan on going with the Racing medallion... I also like the N-1 style though... they both sound great!

That Racing Medallion is sweet looking off the car, but all of the pics I've seen of it installed look funny. The canister looks too big for the backs of our cars in my opinion. I'm not too sure about the Stromung, I've heard that the build quality is lacking, it's sooo confusing!!

i don't think they look too bad but it does sit kind of low on our cars. the apex n1 style looks smaller in my opinion.

i have the hiper medallion on my RS and I love it. However it DOES sit very low on mine. I can see the whole cannister when looking at it like 10 ft. away frmo the side. Look kinda cool though anyway :-)

I have the Racing Medallion installed on mine, you can see it on my pics in the member section (Massachusetts, all the way down at the bottom). I agree, it sticks out way too much, and looks awkward because you can see the whole damn muffler from any angle. I've posted this before, that this is mainly a gripe about the RS's ass, and its very unproportional nature. Subaru made a mistake with that, and the WRX deals with it much better. Seriously, would it have killed Subaru to make the rear bumper extend 4 inches lower? It's so ugly!
