Default trying to garner interest in an install fest near philly

paisan and chopstixx have expressed some interest in helping me out installing my sway bar and springs. we need a few more people that need installs local to philly for them to come down. i think Frank (chopstixx) said that he was still at school but could do some installs in a couple weeks (which is perfect because my car is still in the body shop). so, if you need anything done (i know there were a couple of guys in my other thread last week), please post here. these guys tell me they can do any bolt ons including: Turbo Timers, Springs/Coilovers/struts, Swaybars, Brakes, Samco Hoses, Gauges, Chips, Exhausts...

i would host it, but i live an hour west of philly, so i guess we need a host too. annointed?

once there is some interest, maybe one of you guys (AZP) could post a date.

Lookin at March 8th or 9th currently.

I need my exhaust manifold tapped for a egt probe, and I am a bit too chicken to do it myself. Do you guys have the means and know how to do that? I will also pick up an Eibach Prokit for that day if it happens.

What type of probe did you get? The clamp or weld in. The clamp will be no problem. Will have to find a muffler shop in the area to weld the bung in the down pipe(if thats were you want it) if it's the weld in type.

The probe is the threaded kind. I was under the impression that you could tap right into the exhaust manifold with a tapping drill bit and welding a threaded bung onto the manifold was not necessary. The only problem is, I believe that you would have to take the manifold off so you do not get any shavings into the exaust/turbo/etc. This is for a WRX so it would in the exhaust manifold (3rd cylinder), not the downpipe.

Looking into renting a garage for Sat March 8th in Allentown. Would you guys still be interested if we did it up there? If so we can probably get leeburbs to come down and do tint as well. PM me and let me know the interest for this.

never been to an install fest, but would definitely be down for one. living in the concrete jungle makes self installs almost impossible. i have a trunk and glove compartment light to be installed, as well as a flat door mod. doubt if all the pieces for my suspension will be here...but one can hope

I am there. March 1st works out MUCH better for me, but if everyone wants to go the 8th, I guess I have no choice.

Personally, I am much more interested in having the installfest in Philly, as I may be on call on the 8th, and would have a much easier time if the install day was local. Plus, my parents own restaraunts in the area, and may be able to pull some kind of catered deli meat of some kind.

Whatever though. I am getting these STi Lowering springs/SPT struts installed no matter what.

If there is going to be a garage rented, I would still be up. I just cant beat the convenience of my own driveway Let me know what the deal is fellas!

If this is in Philly, I might drop by, not to get anything installed, just to hang w/some Scoobyfolk! I could even bring tools, but I suspect Paison and Chopstixx will have that all under control

Hey guys, this is gonna happen on the 8th, just a matter of a place.

If Leeburbs can make it on the 8th we may go with the garage cause then he can do tint on that day too. It's too chilly to do tint outside right now.

Ok, well the 8th is great. I actually do have a garage. I can move the jeep and the vette. But if we are going to have a heated garage or whatever Im still in. - Frank

I will try and look for some locations, but can't promise anything. Let's pray for good weather. Bye, bye Mr. Fender Gap!!!!

Also Paisan,
Please correct me if I am wrong, but you guys can get parts too. Is there anyway that you can offer a package price for some guys who need Eibach Spings, Rear Camber Adjustments, and an Installation? I would be in if you can arrange it. If not let me know, and I will order springs.

AZP doesn't sell parts.

However...

Check out the following tri-state vendors:

ILP Performance
Ninos Auto Accessories
Metric Subaru (MRT Performance I think?)
Z-1 (If they are still in business?)
Fizz Autosports in Queens
Also Tirerack carries Eibach Pro-kits as well.

Leeburbs can't make it cause he'll be out of town March 8th. So it looks like we'll take you up on the offer for the driveway and garage

Now lets get this thing in motion. PM/IM/E-mail me with questions and to setup appts.
