Default STi Exhaust fit the stock midpipe?

Does anyone know if the STi muffler that is for the WRX matches up with the stock midpipe? I am going to get a new midpipe eventually, but for now I just wanted to know if the muffler fits.

thanks

rob

I'm 90% sure that they don't. One of the flanges needs rotated.

oh. I thought that the gc6 body styles needed the flange rotated and not the new age rs's.

Yep, the WRX flange is different than the RS flange.

(The flange should be the same for all RS's, IIRC. The difference between "classic" and "new age" RS's is a hanger, not a flange.)

Ok cool. That is what I thought about the hangers. But I was wondering about the part that the muffler ends and you connect to the midpipe. That is the only part that is kind of worrying me.
