the HKS DP is a little bit more restricting then the vishnu meaning that the horsepower gain the HKS makes won't be as much as the vishnu. get the vishnu dp and the HKS bov. the hks bov has the only valve effecient enough to work as well as the oem by pass.

from personal experience: pde up and downpipes are good pieces. although now looking back i think i should have gotten something with a divorced wastegate section (seperate pipe for the wastegate, rejoining the exhaust about a foot and a half down the downpipe to minimize turbulence)
bov's... hks is a fine piece. it is designed in such a way that it is nearly impossible to make leak unless the seal on it is compromised. very nice unit, IMO. the forge bov is also nice, but i have leaking problems now and then with it when i'm running a slight vacuum (around 2psi or so vacuum) it seems almost unrelated to the spring (which is odd..) but it's not a big enough deal to worry about. very slight sneezy pfff sound is excellent when you are going into cities with lots of cops, and when your girlfriend hates the hks's sound ![]() for the uppipe.. it's really a personal preference. i'd say get whatever you can get for around 200 or less. as long as it isn't junk quality or a bad name maker, you should be fine. |

I'm not sure about the HKS BOV. I'm assuming you are talking about the Type-S. My brother personally has gone through two HKS Type-S BOV in one year on his Supra. They seem to have a lot of defects now. A friend of mine with a Turbo GSR had the same problem. That is why I decided to go with Blitz. I've had that for almost a year and it's still doing good. My brother and my friend switch to the HKS racing BOV. They seem to be doing fine. They sound really bad ass too, just like the japan racing videos. I think I might be switching to that as well but they are really $spendy$ though.
Hope this helps Also, you guy know that the fins can be changed in the Type-S to change the sound of the BOV. Normally they have a wistle to it, you can change it to a simmple phhshhh like sound or a sound like a donky getting the kickked in the nuts. ![]() |

Perrin makes a very good downpipe and uppipe. Vishnu dp is good too but it is too expensive for only replacing one cat. The perrin uppipe is good because there are no bungs for the stock egt sensor. U don't want the egt sensor breaking and ruining ur turbo
