GReddy Oil Filter Block adapter question

Does anyone have the GReddy Oil Filter Block adapter to hook up oil gauge probes? Is it really necessary to use a 1985-87 Toyota Corolla GTS Oil filter? Autometer gauges won't fit directly will they? Thanks

I know nothing about this specific system but realize thread pattern and o ring radius on a subaru is EQUAL to that of Honda vehicles. MANY aftermarket oil filter "sandwich" adapters exist for honda, and you can use the original filter......
