Is anyone running 17 x 8" wheels? If so which ones and where did you get them?

A few of us are... The new Enkei RPF-1's in 17x8, ET +45, 15.5 lbs semi-forged. Nino from Nino's Auto Accessories has began selling them now that they are available in the US. ITs a really nice wheel for the price, in the features and looks department.

I put a write up in the members cars section before this new tire/wheel forum came about. Perhaps i might move the post here for its technical content. In any event, have a look:

I don't think there are any Rotas (for Subarus) that are 17x8". The Enkei RPF-1 seems like the best choice if you're looking for light weight and a reasonable price. SSR lists their Type-C (Competitions) in a 17x8" size, but nobody is selling them in the US. Further up the price ladder, there are some Volks and Racing Harts.

I have Enkie RPF-1s, too, with 245/40 tires.
Another good (inexpensive) choice is the 5zigen Fn01Rc. They come in 48 offset, which would be a better fit IMO. After that, your best bet is to get a set of volks or SSRs specially made, because nobody stocks them.

No Subaru fitment for them, it seems. The Japanese 5zigen site doesn't list a 17x8" size at all. The US site has it as "Coming Soon", but only with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

I don't remember exactly who i talked to, but a couple wheel places I talked to had them in subaru fit in bronze, but I was looking for silver or gunmetal color. Maybe they were lying to me, and their wheels were really 17x7.5. I would've been pissed if they tried to pull that over on me. I could've sworn I saw them listed on the 5zigen site, though...
