Default 17" or 18" SSR COMPs?

Are these wheels as strong as my old 18" P1s?

I am debating on going with 17" or 18" SSRs. Living in chicago, people are going to say 17", but I had no issues with my P1s.

Will the 17s look awkward? I like the look of 18s on the WRX. Does anyone have pics of these wheels on the WRB WRX? I am leaning toward the darker wheel. I plan on auto-x the car this year, probably only a couple of times. Other than that I am just doing much highway driving. Thanks!

Well, when my time comes to purchasing wheels, I'll be going with 18's. Brion (Fyxtion) in Milwaukee has 18" wheels. Mark V here in Chicago has 18" wheels.

And as for the strength issue. I have heard they are very strong, but they can bend if you abuse them enough.
Phil (dwx) has a set (in 17"), and he hasn't bent his as far as I know. And he's about as hard on wheels as anyone except Jon (Ralyrcr).

Hope this helps.
