Question Rear diff on a 98 2.5Rs

Does anyone know what to look at? I checked the one on a 2001 and the 2 green things coming from the diff.. Well they were a little rusty looking.

Since I'm buying from a dealer do they check the fluid and whatnot their or what?

I will translate: Broken English is my second language

Im thinking of purchasing a new car, the one I looked at was a 1998 2.5rs. While inspecting it I saw that the rear axles had alot of rust on them, is this normal?

Also I wonder when the dealer gets a car do they go through all the service items or should I check it myself?

haha! nice translation. I dont think ide be too concerned with rear diff fluid unless it looks like its been leaking. my 121,000 mile 8 year old car has rusty axles and it still drives.
