What were your goals with this? I know you've been working on it for ever, but I am kind of surprised to see the stock A/W IC and the stock WRX turboback exhaust.
Which radiator did you use? -Jon |

$$$ my friend $$$
finding an early air to air intercooler has proved ot be very difficult for a reasonable price if any one knows of one or has one let me know the usdm WRX intercooler just wont fit as for the exaust .. at some point i will take the exaust off mY GDA and put it on.. but getting hte project moving was more important this motor is 200-220 stock .. there are a few versions so i am not 100% sure how ever it has the same injectors and internals as the 260 version .. just a smaller turbo .. any one have a good source for an ihi flanged TD05? |

Now if you want very difficult for a reasonable price, try finding that TD05... You may have to source a WRX intercooler and do some TB modifications to get it to fit. I had a MY94 IC about a year ago and it cost me $50 plus another $80 or so just to ship. They were hard to come by back then.
So how about my question on that radiator? ![]() -Jon |

130 ... wow thats cheep i have been looking at 300+
there is no way that the GDA intercooler will fit ... i am using the 1.8 throttle body .. it is already a full inch longer than the standard EJ20G yeah i would like a td05 too stock 1.8 radiator Last edited by Jaxx; 05-28-2003 at 03:18 PM. |

It is already tapped for the remote radiator cap? I thought an extra fitting was needed to use that remove reservoir.

nope ..
taken from the guys at i-speed i removed (hacksaw) the spring from the lower radiator cap so that it is always open then routed the hose from the surge tank to the overflow like so (from a converted RS at rim) fwiw i found an air to air intercooler today for 240 shipped ![]() Last edited by Jaxx; 05-28-2003 at 06:31 PM. |

Oh ok. So the stock radiator overflow line goes up to the surgetank and the surgetank returns to the stock overflow? Sounds simple enough.
Now you need to find the hood to go with that topmount IC ![]() -Jon |

do you have all the parts needed for the air-water intercooler(pump, front cooler)? Removing that inline air silencer is worth a couple free HP

Hehe. Hardly anybody knows what a GF8 means, let alone a GFA. Although, technically, you do have a point. Mebbe I'll change it.

I am upgrading my IC on my Ver2 so I have an extra A-A Ver2 IC. It is the slightly larger STi version also. Let me know if you want it.

aggggg! bad timing..
already bought one, thanks tho puck oh and a tip ... if you plan to use the power steering pump from your existing car you will need to move the bracket over from your old car as the jdm pump does not have a fluid level sensor ...AND the sensor on the usdm pump fowls on the bracket AND you will have to massage the hard lines right after the pump and switch over the brackets on the hard line too. |

White is a lot better than black, grey, and/or blue
. Unless, of course, it's your headgasket leaking coolant into the combustion chamber...-Jon |
