Does this offer still stand? I'm interested.

Are these pistons stock size? I dont' know much about upgrading internals, so basically, all I have to do is take out the old parts in the motor and replace them with these, correct?

Let me know

That's basically what I'm needing to know. If so, then you've got yourself a buyer. I'm in need of aftermarket internals ASAP.

Default feedback and vendor reviews

ok i think i may have figured it out. Lots of views and no response, probably due to the little time we've spent on the site. If anyone is question our ability to ship parts or if we are a shop, WE are! Please check out our feedback on ebay for all of our engine internals, i think there should be over a thousand reponses of happy customers. We're just out to help a little because of what we've seen the local guys here in vegas paying like $500-600 for pistons and much more for rods. We like talking motors so please give us a call with any questions
thanks,
keith

this set-up will work in the factory block with a standard bore. Yep basically take out the old and in with the new, except much stronger and as i'm told a much lighter piston than factory
deal still stands just let me know that you called from this site
thanks,
keith

hey, im here in vegas.... i was wondering which one of your locations to visit.... since you've posted 2 of them.

anyways, i guess i'll ask you this question too.... i dont expect you to know, but hey.... i'll give it a shot anyways....

first off, im going to be putting a 98 DOHC motor into my 95 L....

the motor is out of a forster, and i have no idea if it's one of those special "magic bullet" engines with the phase II block and DOHC.... but anyways...

i was wondering if you could pull the rotating assembly or just the rods out of an EJ18, and put them into the 2.5.... now just incase your wondering ' why the heck would he want to do that?'..... listen to this quote from mike at spd....( taken from spd's site...)

"It is interesting to note that the RA motors still share connecting rods with the N/A 1800cc motor. The quality is in the N/A motors, it is just put to different use. The 2.0, closed deck, 1995 WRX-RA short block is still the drug of choice in Japan for the "Big Power" motor."

i find this idea intresting, and since i have access to a ton of 1.8's and the 2.5 thats going into my car is gonna be on an engine stand for a while.... i was wondering if it could be done....

thanks,
andy

also, im interested in buying a set of rods and pistons if my idea above doesnt work or once i get some money, as i plan on going F/I down the road....

plus, im building a nova with my dad too, so i might be interested in some stuff for a SBC....

Hello,
we are mainly a parts a warehouse, but regarding your question about switching the rotating assembly out of a 18 and put into a an ej 25. i don't have the rod length on hand specifically for the ej25 but if the length differs there ,must be compensation in compression height otherwise you may have youself a bit of an issue and that may just be the beginning. Please give us a call

Are you selling any upgrade valve train components? About where on the scale do the rods and pistons fall?

Default valvetrain components

Valves are available in pneumatic stainless and also titanium but the prices vary. definitely expect from $16-45 for Ferrea Comp Plus valves. Springs, locks and retainers all available, but once again it's one of those deals with infinite possibilities unless i know specifically what style of racing you're doing. Persoally, I would rate JE at level 10 for overall quality +pricing and Eagle rods as a 9 overall for price and strength. The only rods stronger are more than double the cost and in most applications would not be necessary
thanks,
keith

Question Forged Pistons and Rods

Are these pistons and rods available for the UK EJ20 engine? If so could you give us an idea on the price.

Cheers

Like Delboy,

I'm well interested to know if these items will fit EJ20 standard size and if oversized ones are available & details on shipping to the UK.

I dropped no.4 piston last month and have my engine gutted ready for rebuild.

A deglaze has been done and told bores are within standard tolerances. However if 0.25mm or 0.5mm oversized pistons are available at these prices then I'd be well interested.

Please e-mail me with details. Thx

Default uk ej20

pretty sure that the engine internals for the UK models should be the same no matter where they are. The pistons are std size for JE but arias is available in a +5mm or +.020" same thing. Rods will still be the Eagle H beam. Arias set up is $769 +shipping which will be about $65 4-10 day air with insurance and all to the UK. we don't do the ground because in the end 4-6 weeks will make anyone nervous and we aren't about that. just to double check the specs Eagle rods 5.137" length std pin and journal. piston compression 8.0:1 with a 1.287 comrpession height and 92.0mm std bore 92.5 oversize
thanks,
Keith

Another question from over the water. What about rods and pistons for an EJ22t engine? I am also about to start a re-build and your prices seem somewhat better than I can get closer to home.

Hello,
we're satisfied with our pricing as well, glad to share it with everyone. for the ej22 the only difference from the ej20 is a couple mm bore and unfortunately with JE and Arias it's still a custom piston. With so many inquiries I'll see what i can do but as we all know we'll just be at the mercy of the manufacturers until they make a cast. If there are 20 of you out there that need these pistons i could have them make one and figure what the pricing would be but thats going to be a significant amount of pistons and it's going to take pre-orders to get this through and a couple weeks to get them out.
thanks,
Keith

Dyno-Flo :-

Top guys supplying quality gear. My engine is rebuilt with ARIAS forged pistons with EAGLE rods. The weight saving alone is a massive 171grams per cylinder.

I'd say that these are an excellent buy. Thanks Keith.
