Default Oil + Filters

I am sick of taking my car over to the dealership just to get the oil changed. SO i will now do it myself (drumroll please). However I wonder if I shpuld just buy a case of OEM subaru gaskets from the dealer? Or go with some other brad. Also what kind/weight synthetic oil should I put into my 03' WRX? any suggestions will help greatly as I need to change it up ASAP.

Get OEM drain plug washers from the dealer. While in warranty, I recommend you use OEM filters as well.

As far as motor oil, I recommend Mobil 1 10W-30. Most Wal-Marts sell 5-qt jugs for about $18-19.

Guys! Do a search on "Fumoto"
Makes the DIY oilchange a piece of cake.

And I'm not gonna start an oil debate... there is plenty out there to read and make an educated decision -- same with filters.
