Default STi RA springs vs STi pink springs

Hey guys,

Just got a few questions about the GDA STi springs,

1) What is the difference between the STi RA springs and the pink springs? (other than stock vs after market?)

2) Will these these springs fit a 02RS with stock struts?

3) I believe these springs lower the front and rear by 0.5, is there a slight chance that these springs will lower the car more or less than 0.5?

Thanks

The pink springs will probably lower the car about an inch. The STi RA ones will lower it somewhere between 0 and .5 inches. Pink springs have rates of 200F 185R and the RAs are 217F 190R. They will work on 02 RS struts but are pretty stiff for the valving on those struts.

Thanks driggity,

Any recommendations on lowering springs for a 02RS with stock struts?

I want something that lower the front and rear by 1" or so, but also provides a smooth ride for daily driving as well.

Thanks

Many have had very good luck w/ the Prodrive springs and oe struts- they will still go quicker w/ these springs as the rates are higher. When they do go, invest in a firmer damped strut- KYB, Koni etc

Yes, that's what he meant. The struts will wear out quicker due to the lower ride height and increased spring rate.

i assume that holds true for the WRX struts too?...looks like a legitimate reason to go buy the STi struts!
