Default lookin to buy an STi

im sure most of u in this forum have or driven the STi's and i loved it. so im seriously considering purchasing one. im kind of mad that i wasn't able to drive it on the highway so i was wondering if any of u have driven it on highway for abotu an hour, and what kind of RPM's is it runnign goign about 70-80 mph? also, for those of you who have driven the EVO also, which is more comfterable to sit in, im sure most of u bought it for the sheer power but is it comfterable while sitting in it for a good hour???? thanx alot for your help!!

With a 6 speed, you can drive between 70-80 all day long at virtually any point across the RPM band.

Stop researching that and start researching dealers willing to sell them to you for $1K below MSRP!

This doesn't _quite_ answer your question, but my STi will do 100mph at right under 4000 rpm in 6th.

Oh, um 70-80mph is speeding...
It's comfortable for at least 3 1/2 hours, that's all I've spent in it at one time.

75mph is just over 3k RPM in 6th gear.

STi is quite comfortable for medium length trips, probably for about 4-5 the most without a break.

I think the STi is more comfortable and has a nicer interior than the Evo (which I also have driven) and that makes a big difference in longer drives.

The STi is a great freeway car. Slot it in 6th and forget it. I've done back to back 10hr days in the car going to and from vegas (4 days total) and was in no way hurting from the experience. Oh and thanks to a CEL I had no cruise either.
