Im looking for a good front clip from a US WRX. I have found a few JDM clips, but I have heard they are a pain, and shipping cost is way high. I would love to find a wrecked WRX in my area. That way I can swap out the brakes and suspension, and some othe parts . If anyone knows of a supplier in my area, let me know. Im in Eastern Upstate NY.

Start here.
CAR-PARTS.COM You should be able to find just about anything you need. If they have the engine at a yard it is likely they have all the other accessories also. I know a couple of guys have used this site to find their engines. Dan Last edited by phong; 08-14-2003 at 02:15 PM. |

Try speedbump in Toronto. Arthur is a great guy and was a WRC tech for awhile so he is very knowledgable. I am probably going to send my harnesses to him to do and do the swap myself after that. speedbump.com

First of all, check the FAQ. Then try www.rallispec.com , www.lachutesubaru.com , and www.axispowerracing.com . You can also go for www.copartfinder.com and try to source the car yourself. Prices are often blown out of proportion buying from a yard though. Your final option would be to find the local auto auctions and buy one for yourself. Many of them are private, requiring a dealer's license but some are open to the public.

hmmm that picture of the version 4 on proparts.com looks very familiar to me ... like the one I took last year ... I could be mistaken though, no dis-credit intended.
All I can suggest is that when looking for a clip some MAJOR things to check. 1) remove t-belt covers and make sure no pullies are damaged and the belt and pullies line up properly 2) make sure that you have the appropriate switches, sensors and wires are cut with enough length to re-use the connectorys.... lots of clips look complete and people think that it is a clip, so I am not missing anything ... hehehehe ... if I had a dime everytime I heard that one !!! 3) AIRFLOW METERS ARE EXPENSIVE !!! 4) 02 SENSORS ARE EXPENSIVE 5) make sure you have the vehicule tags, if they are no longer there, it is stolen. 6) make sure it is the CORRESPONDING rear diff 7) check to make sure that transmission bell housing etc and oil filter housings are not broken. Front end smashes or side collisions can do wierd things that are not so obvious until you look at the car from underneath ! See if the paint on the body has lifted or cracked unnesecarily. THat is my advise and remember, shops that have been doing this for years such as rallispec and ourselves, have been doing this for years for a reason.!! Happy hunting, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions, Mark support@lachutesubaru.com www.lachutesubaru.com 877-568-3121 |

Call East Coast Swappers. They sell clips. They have some deals on the front page of RS25.com right now.
