I got a mess of stuff the other night and I am trying to sort through it all. Below you will find two pictures of unknown parts. I believe the first one is the FBC, but I am not sure. The second one I don't have a clue as I've never seen it before. I'm also trying to find the fuel pump controller which isn't jumping out at me...

Next up on the identification block...
![]() My bets are that it is the ABS relay connector, however I'm not 100% because the surrounding connectors don't look like they match up with the diagrams. Eversifted through 160 pages of wiring diagrams and 50lbs of wiring, hehe? What a pain in the arse. -Jon |

ABS no it isn't I am pretty sure cause that plug does not run with those wires. It is run seperate all by itself to its sensors and so on. ABS is a stand alone kinda thing doesn't flow with engine harness.
And yes I have looked through about 300 pages of diagrams and manuels. Also sat next to same amount of wires. Lets see if I can get my pic to work. YOu can correct me if I am wrong but that is what I encountered in my car! SOME OF THE WIRES |

There is nothing else that it could be besides ABS. I've laid out my wiring harness and everything lines up perfectly to the connectors surround this location. Besides that, it is made my Bosche and I know that Bosche was contracted to do the ABS for the WRX. The organization for the ABS is most likely different on the RS.

It is ABS looked in some diagrams only thing is it shouldn't be with that bulk of wires. Correct?! that is where the confusion is.

Yes, but which wiring harness?
Front wiring harness, engine compartment bulkhead wiring harness, engine wiring harness, cabin bulkhead wiring harness (I'm guessing that one?), rear wiring harness? How many pins/how many wires? |

Regardless of how they define the harnesses, it is all one harness. The different harnesses, in my opinion, are merely an easier means to identify locations of components. I've seen no easy way to seperate any of the three harnesses I have. But since you asked, it is the front wiring harness. It is located right next to the RH headlight, the RH turn signal, the RH abs sensor, RH side market, and RH radiator fan.
It has ~30 pins, but its not the easiest to count. I have just spent the last 15 minutes tracing wires, counting pins etc and I have it 100% confirmed that this is the ABS Control Module connector, id B301. The main ABS power wire traces from the connector to fuse #8 in the main fuse box. -Jon |

For MY02, the front wiring harness includes F49, which is the 31 pin ABS control module connector.
For MY04, the engine compartment bulkhead wiring harness includes B301, which is the 31 pin ABS control module connector. |

It's a MY03
But it's ok, I've got MY02-MY04 wiring diagrams. It was mostly me doubting my ability to read the diagrams properly. -Jon |
