noise

Just wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I have a 98 RS and I'd like to find out whats causing this noise. It sounds like I hit a mouse and he lets out his last squeek before he dies. It happens when i'm driving and the clutch is engaged. It happens at random speeds as well. It sounds like its coming from under the drivers seat under the car, maybe towards the back. I have no clue what it could be. Any recommendatins would be helpful.

So your just driving along at steady speeds, and at random you just hear a loud squeak? How long does it last? does it sound rotational?

That doesnt sound all that odd to me, my car squeaks a lot at many different random times.

it lasts for no even a second. Also its random when it makes the noise. Thanks for the replies

Sounds like exhaust pieces moving around to me. Or brakes.

sounds kinda like a belt sqeal but doesn't last long enough 2 be one and it doesn't come from anywhere near the front of the car. Well, if it is exhaust that'll get replaced with a scoobysport soon hopefully, i'll just have 2 tell people i have a singing mouse in my car till then
