Default good old subaru jdm ej20 swap wiring questions

soooo after a little R&D calling a few shops posting here I'm still unclear about wiring when I get the jdm front clip and I have to wire everything what am I acually doing? using old wireharnesses with new? someone told me 2 wires a night with 2 hrs every day it'd take me 2 weeks so does this mean theres around 28wires to wire up? and I have done engine swaps before and have 3 years expernce of working on cars but the most I've done with my subaru is the awd swap. hondas are easy they plug and play and some of them are pre wired for vtec subaurs involve a little more work soo yah what do I do/

Give me mroe details and I will be glad to help! What year and so on! I have been helping at least five poeple right now! They send me pictures and I tell them what it is and where it goes and so on.
