Formula for trouble. New Potenza RE730's, Whiteline Adj. Bar, and a 2.5RS. Ever since i put them on I can't seem to take corners slow anymore. I love pushing it! Well I'm at a light waiting patiently for it to turn green. I'm going straight; however, its a quick left then right to go on that road. Perfect to see how she handles. Light goes green. I didn't drop it but i let her take off. I shot through the intersection, quick left, quick right as the cars in the other lane are astonished how the car sticks (or wandering what kinda ******* is driving like that). In my rear view i notice a cop car pull out. I stop at a stop sign, wait, then turn right. Just as i do that he lights me up. I quickly roll down my windows (tinted) and await the verdict. The officer asks me why i didn't slow down when i went through the intersection. I told him i was stoped at the intersection (his view was blocked by a building). He looked at me weird then looks at my windows and my 9 inch sunstrip. "are all the windows tinted?" he asks, as he starts to really look at my sunstrip. I thought to myself, "I didn't pay $180 to get all my windows tinted just so i can peel it off". He walks back to his cruiser then comes back in a few minutes. I notice he only has my info. He's not carring his reciept book. He tells me to slow it down and lets me go. I tell him I'm sorry my car handles so well.
had to get that one in. You know, I could of had to of taken my tint off but he let me go, so i think i will slow it down. Just for a little though My condolences to all those who wern't as lucky. |

Congrats on the escape!
You ought to send a Thank You letter to his department. It really does seem like the exception when a cool officer pulls you over. Most of the time we get the mustachioed egomaniacs who threaten jailtime for a criminal 12 mph over the posted limit. Jackbooted facists with their power-trip, condenscending attitude, little black ticket book (er . . . oops! Did I start to rant?) ![]() JD |

Acually it wasn't in Northampton. It was at RT. 191 by the "SPOT" drive in (on my way to NCC). A bethlehem cop pulled me over. I got pulled over a while back by a bethlehem cop for going down a one way and flying into a parking lot. He also gave me a warning. He was cool. Even if i do get a ticket, as long as the cop is human with me I don't get mad. I mean as long as i did something wrong.

I screwed up and found out about a cool cop awhile back. I had just installed my intake, and stiffened up my kybs. The guys and I piled into my car to test it out. We pulled out of the driveway, accelerated from 0-60-0 in a short distance, then proceded around a roundabout. In doing the acceleration, we passed a cop. Well, he pulled me over and asked me if I realized what I did. I told I knew what I had done, but I was familiar with the area (I have lived there for 2 years), and figured I was able to do this safely; ie: nobody was around and it was late. He asked me what I was doing and I simply told him I just got my suspension setup and I was seing how well it handled. Well rather hitting me with exhibition of speed, wreckless driving, and speeding, he wrote me up a simple speeding ticket which can be worked off with driving school. He handed this to me saying," Next time you test out your suspension, go and find a nice deserted road." He must have a soft spot for fast, agile cars.
Forgive me, I'm bored at work. |
