Post R/c wrc???

Well I really don't know where to post this topic..so I'll go with "General" most amount of users come here

I'm looking to get some prices/specs on a gas powered remote control impreza. I'd like to see if I could get one with WRC logos and all that good stuff...but one in BRP (color of my car) would be cool too!

Any suggestions?

Talking

hell yeah HPI nitro RS4 all wheel drive and have the impreza bodies too !! used to have one myself and it had a two speed transmission and had the batteries come out and BAM!! 46mph or so into a curb, it went damn near 5ft in the air ouch. that was a couple hundred in mods and other items if you get one and want to maybe buy a glow plug ignitor or some other parts i might be able to sell em. talk to ya later oh they run around 300$ or something for a decent model.

Try www.towerhobbies.com

They carry the Kyosho, HPI and Tamiya versions of the various WRC cars.

For the ultimate toy, try the Kyosho LandMax series of cars... you can never have too much power

Like this:

If your looking to just goof around, I've got an HPI Nitro RS4 with a '98 WRC body.
They make what's called an RTR version that's ready to run. Unfortunatly, it's not shipped with the WRC body, that's $22.00 extra. The car itself is $396.20 + tax. that's for almost everything needed to run the car. Some come with a skyline body. Also check for the HPI RS4 Rally kit. This is designed for on/off-road duty. For more info go to www.hpiracing.com

HPI www.hpiracing.com has a gas powered rally car with the 2002 WRX body or an Escudo body.

Wink

There is a New Age Impreza body out for RC cars. Funny thing is that it has "normal" headlights and not the oval units on the real Impreza.

I have to agree with the rest of the peoplr and say, go with HPI. I used to own an HPI rally, and ive been a frequent poster on the HPI forum for well over two years now.

There are a couple of options. People keep on mentioning the Nitro RS4, but the draw back of this is that it is designed for on road use, not rally use. Somthing to keep in mind. your next bet would be the Super Nitro RS4 Rally. It seems to have a preaty good build quality, and after break in, is a vpreaty quick little car. Plus in the next couple of months the Impreza WRC body will be avliable. Curently, they already have a EVO-VI, and the Susuki Escudo/Gran Vitara (better known as "Fred" on the HPI forums, long story). Heres a shot of the New Impreza body.

due to size, heres a couple of link of more pics for you too look at.

For more info on the SNR visit this link. http://www.hpiracing.com/k-snrally-m.htm

And also take a peak into the HPI Rally Forums, we can help to answer ANY question you may have. Reguarding hte SNR, or the electric rallys.

good luck.

I'm not too much into R/C cars, but I'll agree with the earlier posts about the HPI kit if you just wanted mess around. But for true scale and accuracy, not to mention overall good looks, go with the Tamiya kits. They are the most accurate bar none. The HPI kit to me is ok, but not scale enough. Gotta fly!

Nothing beats Tamiya when it comes to scale realism. But when you think pratically, aand are just interested in a back yard thrasher, the extra cost of a tamiya doesnt cut it.

I got an old Kyosho RS-4 kit with the 2-speed tranny and all electronics, with a (old style) Celica GT-R body. Anyone want it? Runs well!!!

Agreed Buck-O, in fact I think I'm gonna buy the Tamiya '98 Monte Carlo R/C Impreza, just so that I'll have another model of it ;-) But yeah if' I'm gonna do rough & tumble stuff, I'd get the other kit. Gotta fly!
