Post Anyone know what strut tower brace this is? (really cool!)

I was looking at pics of the Cusco Impreza and saw it's rear strut tower bar. Naturally that makes me think "of course, it's Cusco" but take a look (click to enlarge):

What is that? That's really cool how it braces to the chassis/body versus just to each other.

The page I originally got the picture off of is located here - http://www.group4.co.jp/sale2000/000114/sale3.htm - It's got the Cusco Impreza & S15 Silvia on there.

I believe the Integra Type R and Civic SI have those. I don't know who makes the one in the picture though.

Have a Nice Day?

Must have! It looks like a Cusco product, the aluminum bars look just like the aluminum bar on my rear strut bar and the center mount looks very similar to the strut mounts. If anyone knows where I can get one of these, please let me know!

Yes, this is a Cusco piece. They just came out with it and they do make one for the Impreza. It's an add on for your existing rear strut tower bar and goes for about $150-$175.

They just came out with it so I don't think anyone will have them in stock here in America, yet... And remember, you need the Cusco Rear Strut Tower bar to use this piece.

You should be able to order it from your usual Cusco source (us, ISR, Teague's, Nativo, JC).

Cheers,
Trey

Cool Trey, thanks. I'll ask around a few places.

Who knows... Maybe I'll see if I can find time/material to fabricate something myself.

Would anyone know where I could find more pictures of this bar? I'm wondering where/how it attaches to the other one.

Man by looking at the picture I think I could make one myself. I think I have a couple cardboard boxes in my closet. They may be worn out though. Maybe I should just break down and buy some new "high performance" card board from the mailbox store. Jeez that's gonna cost me.
Who needs Cusco.
