Default Rear Differential Binding

My rear differential binds when making sharp turns after driving for a long time (2hours+). I have a MY95 5-speed Legacy.

A subaru mechanic said that this is common with my year car and that putting an additive in the differential fluid may help, or it may need to have a dealer put in a kit.

Is anybody familiar with this???

I had the binding feeling in my 1997 Subaru Legacy GT recently. I had the dealer change the differential fluids, and now the binding feeling is almost entirely gone.
Try the fluid change, and see if that helps.
