Default BOV cleaning

I've heard some people clean their BOV's...Is this necessary?
If so, how does one go about this? What type of cleaner ETC....?
Thanks in advance.

Theres nothing to 'clean'

Sometime the piston may need to be oiled, but only applies if you have an aftermarket one.

The WorxTuning BOV requires the removal of the piston at 1,000 miles, wiped out, and then reoiled with a thin coat of assembly lube. This is to be repeated every 8-10,000 miles.
