Question What does it take to become a specialist these days

Like the thing says... I just saw a guy who has 300+ posts and he's still a newbie?!?

What's the limit... Imprezidents help me out here.

ya man it was you.....

that's rough, I hope the 555 thing is a farce!

I've seen people with just over 100 with specialist status and then I saw you and I took a second to think, then write this post.

As you can tell I have fewer posts that you but I am already a specialist.

It all depends on when they changed the #. If someone had 65 posts when that was the #, then they became a specialist. The next guy has 64 posts (needs only one more), then the "powers-that-be" change the # to 555. The 64 guy then gets his 65th post, but it doesn't matter, he needs 555 now.

Cool

Well Like I said Leo..... about 2 months ago, for some reason the imprezidents changed the number.

I guess too many people we're being called "specialists" without knowing jack! (My theory)

So if you had been on the board a while before they changed the number to 555 (it is true I talked to Alex about it) you were a "specialist" with about 65 posts when this all happened I had about 57 posts or so... I'm not worried, in about less than a month... I'll look and see the beloved "Scooby Specialist" right under "Bankheist" and I will be happy

I think the Specialist tags etc should be based around the amount of time you've been registered, that would make more sense rather than base it around those that post incessantly stupid threads.

It's a little late now maybe considering that there's over 2000 members, but then again a couple of years from now there'll probably be 10,000 members as there'll be so many more Imprezas on the road.

I got mine when it was 65. Only took me a week and a half. These days it'd take me a day and a half.

I think your status should be based on votes (like Amazon's "how helpful was this review to you?").

One would think the quality of the posts would mean more than the sheer quantity.
