Wow.....I hate to say it, but those 60fts look slow. I think I was running 2.1s in my 5-speed stock, and finished up with 16.1s@84. I don't know the averages for autos, but maybe you should stall the converter up more if possible? I thought the norm for 5-speeds where 15.8-16.2, so I fit in, but again I am not sure about autos. What elevation is the dragstrip at? I wouldn't think that it would be more than me here in PA. I am going to give it a try again next Fri and see how much the intake/exhaust/pulley helped me out.

Jacktam - No offense. But your car is NOT that fast. Take it to a real dragstrip and put those numbers up. The Field Hyper R is NOT ACCURATE.

V6scoobie - Not bad. My fastest time is a 16.7

Temperature, elevation, and driver experience make a big difference, but I'm afraid I have to wonder about that 15.67 as well. If Josh Jacquot (Sport Compact Car) can get 15.7 out of an RS (best run out of may tries) then I'm willing to entertain the idea of 15.67, but I have to be a little suspicious.

v6scooby,

Your times look fine for an automatic and a first-time at the strip. My times normally range from 16.2 to 16.4 (MY00, 5-spd), although they're getting better as I get more practice (and as the weather cools down in Phoenix). A friend, who's a better driver then me, has gotten in the 16.1's with my car. It's practically stock with the Subaru/Brospeed exhaust and a K&N filter.

Scooby's not a straight-line beast. Take him to the autocross. That's where I'm going this weekend.

Cheers,

-Red

Did you have your foot to the floor all the way, Looks like you backed off, Remember drive through the finish line, keep your foot planted to the foor!, try running w/the overdrive off. I know on my 5spd, I didnt even hit fifth gear in the quarter.

Alibenn - You drive an auto?? We're talking about automatics here...I BELIEVE that if you're not running a turbo it is really hard to get into the mid 15s.

Talking

Kieho,

I think you can do mid 15's with an intake, exhaust, and some good tuning and driver skill (not to mention a little luck and a favorable tail wind). Turbo's get into the 13's and 14's pretty easily.

Of course, I'm not talking about automatics here and I'm not talking about ham-fisted drivers like myself.

Have a Nice Day?

Guys look at my reaction time it was very low and I held the gas to the floor and the first time had it in third all the way and the second run I drove my auto like a stick until I got to third.
The car is slow .Time for a turbo.looking for one off a kenworth or peterbuilt because there was a tractor trailer running low 15's

Two things,

Sis cannot do 1/4 mile in 15 or 15.2...they are 16-16.5 for sticks

ITRs are more in the 15.0 stock range

Also, auto people need to expect their times to be quite a bit slower than sticks.
Just got to face the facts...Not dissing autos, just saying.

I KNOW that standards can do 16 flat STOCK. I'm merely saying that for an AUTOMATIC it extremely hard to get into the mid 15s without a turbo. Please...I know that autos are slower compared to sticks.
