98 rs calipers w/ wrx rotors and brackets

Does this work.

1998 RS front calipers, convertion to WRX stock rotors.

I believe all I need is the bracket for the WRX calipers and the rotors, am I correct.

I am doing new pads and my friend has stock WRX rotors laying around. I need to buy the caliper mounting brackets if this works.

What is the differance in the rear brakes? Can the same thing be done with the rears?

Yes it will defintely work. I just did the exact same mod to my car and am very happy with the results. There's a noticable improvement in brake power. All you need is the caliper brackets, all the hardware gets swapped from your 98 bracket onto the WRX bracket. www.northursalia.com has the whole mod documented.

I opted for a different mod with the rear brakes and went with the turbo legacy vented rear rotors, calipers and caliper brackets. Subaru sells a kit that includes the caliper and bracket all ready to mount up. This is another mod that I'm very pleased with. Its also documented at the web site listed above.

Let me know if you need a set of brackets, I have a pair laying around.

Your rear rotors and calipers are the same as the WRX. If you want to upgrade get the vented Legacy as above or the larger Legacy "H6" upgrade. You just need rotors and brackets to do the H6 upgrade so it is much cheaper.

oops! since you have a 98 you would need newer style rear calipers to do the H6 upgrade. So it will be quite a bit more $$.
