Exclamation Attention all Texas Subaru owners!!!!

This message is for all Texas area Subaru owners. Not just RS people either. I want to get response from everyone, even if you drive a Brat!
www.texasubaru.com is getting closer to being up and running. Geoff (SaberLion) is working his butt off putting this together. The site will have different sections for Mods, Meetings, Racing, Tech, Members Pics, etc.

What we need is feedback on how many people are interested in having FREE webspace to post pictures and info about their cars. I think the server will have close to 20 gigs of space so we should be able to accomodate you.

We are also going to be calling a meeting for all local Houston area owners. Details in the new thread.

Sponsorship is being saught through several local businesses. Money will go toward club window decals, events, computer expenses, etc.

Eventually we may even divide the site up into different regions of the state, but for now it'll be one big happy group thing.

Please feel free to e-mail me at home or work with any questions, comments, advice, etc.

The domain's already registered and I'm ready to set it up just as soon as we have some content. Everyone will start off with ~15 megs of space, and can receive more if necessary...no banner ads or any of that crud...I run the servers myself.

I'd really like to look into getting an official Texas Regional I-club chapter started. How do we proceed with this?

I've talked to West Houston Subaru and they may be interested, but they want to see how we organize first, which is understandable. I just need some help with ideas, perhaps coding of the main site, etc. The site is NOT limited to Imprezas!

We'll probably discuss details when we're up in Dallas around Trey Cobb's...anyone up there who wants to come by is welcome to. We need ideas...and of course, participation.

I'm still avaliable to design/maintain the Dallas/Fort Worth sections!

Our meet last night @ speedzone was good, 8-10 Scoobys came out!

We'll be making another meet shortly for a trip out to ennis to do some testing/tuning on some newly turbo'd 2.5's!

You mean there are Subarus in Texas (other then Trey's, that is)? I just went through there Friday morning (on I-40 from west to east) and I didn't even see a Forester or Outback or anything.

Man 8complex you were lost BIG time... I 40 does NOT go through TX. That may explain why you didn't see any RS's in TX.... Maybe you weren't IN Texas

Where would the Houston area meeting be held? I was in Conroe, but I'm living in College Station now. I would really like to be there though. Don't see many 2.5's out this way.

If anyone has any ideas for logos for the Texas group, I'm open. Send email and I'll post the logos (if any?) sent to me at http://www.texasubaru.com as the preliminary website. It should preferably be something that can be printed in two or more colors, but looks good in one color as well...something that you'd like having as a 3"x4" vinyl sticker on your window, if you're into doing that.

ANY ideas/comments/questions can be sent to the above email...I'm in need of them. Thanks for all the help so far, Adam!

lets see cost, in which i still need an FPR, was a little less than $2000. i had a huge problem with the flange issue on the end of the first catback, and no one ie: muffler shops would weld me one. the 98-99 imprezas have flanged cats, why the hell don't our MY00s? pissed me off. so i took it our again and now i'm just paranoid to put it back on coz those dayam muffler techs kept telling me about voiding my warranty and stuff..DUH, i know it voids it people..ehehe.

anyway's i'm installing it myself with the help of all you guys on the board and i appreciate it!!

i'm supposed to hook up with chris graf and butt heads on tuning issues...later
