Default Air Filter Comparison

Someone, I think on this board, posted a comparison between K&N, Green, and paper. The results were run against a white background. No, it wasn't bobistheoilguy.com.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Here is what I was looking for...but no Green Filter in the comparison. Kinda cool though:

I know, your write up is the reason we are going to try a Green Filter in my wife's Forester XT.

I was looking for something to show how much dirt/dust passes through the filter.

Do you know if the Green Filter is made from cotton or a synthetic fiber?

AFAIK it is cotton but it looks tighter than the K&N from what I can tell. I do know that after 10K miles when I wiped down the clean side of the airbox it was still dust free

I had been reading up on K&N and other filters. One pro to K&N (and may be true for Green) is that the cotton fiber with impregnated oil is what helps to grab dirt between the rows. Synthetic "cotton" would not have the "burs" that real cotton has and may not be as good.

Would be good to find out what they use.

Does anyone know if Green Filters are available for no-turbo?

Like a 2003 XS? & Who has them?
