Question How long will the current Impreza be available?

If the spy pictures are real, I'm not looking too forward to the debut of the new Impreza. It would probably be out of my price range anyway. Does anyone know how long i'll be able to get the current style Impreza before the New style moves in? Even after the debut will there still be a few old Impreza's in stock?

Unhappy

I feel the same way. I talked to a guy at Subaru about two weeks ago, and he said they'd be getting "the fast ones" in December. Since they don't seem to get too many in, I wouldn't wait until after September. I'll probably have to find a used 00 in January.

The 2001 Impreza RS has the same body style as the past years, so you're ok for a bit. I plan on getting a MY01 myself...Even if the Turbo looked just fine, I shouldn't spend the money on it...hell, I shouldn't even spend the insurance on it! ($$$)

Yea, i really wanted to get one before insurance companies recognize it as a sports car. Looks like if I don't hurry i'll be too late. Are your insurance rates higher because it's AWD?

Question

What are the chances of getting a brand new MY99?

NickSti,
Chances are slim and none. You could buy mine for $28000.00 if you want though.

NickSTi-

If you're up for a road trip, there's a rally blue 99 for sale in New Hampshire that was getting some attention in the Classifieds.

16k miles...not bad at all.

I remember Deadbolt talking about how there was a white 98 RS auto that was taking up space at a dealership nearby...and was actually for sale under invoice. Not bad at all for a brand new (still) car.

Ugly is Ugly. no matter what car it is. Let's just say i took one look at the taurus' front end with the oval headlights...i've never gotten used to it. Still an unbearable sight to this day. What a dissapointment to see the styling of the Impreza going downhill. Japanese designers had the right idea...make a car look like what it is (a machine) Great handsome looking cars have come from that (Skylines, Lancers) Who wants to ride around in a big bubble?
