Default OMG quick question about swaybars

I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT and I'm looking to upgrade to an outback swaybar... I can get the swaybar from a 1998 Outback wagon will that fit my sedan?

this is what I have on my sedan now - make sure you get the black bushings for it as well.

ok I got it all on...

They gave me the swaybar, bushings, endlinks and all

cost: was about $75 CAD or $55 USD.

I picked up some red paint and primer to spray the bar after I gave it a very good cleaning. Because we all know that red is the better color

anyways I only went for a short drive to make sure everything was fine, no squeaks or anything. It seems the car is better balanced with the 18mm bar vs the old 16mm. Makes you wonder why they didn't put a 18mm bar of the GT to make the ride a little more sporty. This mod is a winner no doubt.

Attention to all Legacy GT owners get a 18mm rear swaybar. Call a local salvage yard ask for a outback rear swaybar for the same model year as your car, go pay the man, install and voila a better handling car....

I'm very tired, and I have to go watch the Leafs kick the Sen's asses on T.V.

thats funny, I measured it and it came out as 16mm...but I could be wrong. Ill have to check again...

edit: I just checked again and either my wrenches are wrong or the swaybar really is 16mm.

Man, I lucked out. I paid $20 for the bar and endlinks too, not that I needed them. It is about the cheapest thing you can do that is really a step up, but now that I have had mine for five months I really don't even notice it, guess I just take it for granted now.

call vatchers or go to vatchers.com and see if they have any left. I might have the last one yesterday but there is no harm in trying. They are about the only ones in the city that has subies.

So does this apply for the BE as well. Can I go out and get a rear sway from a 02 outback and have it match up?
