Default just bought stromung cat back for 01 RS 2.5

2001 Imprez 2.5 RS EJ25

At this point I'm leaning toward the stromung dual tip cat back.

I hear a lot about the borla cat back, but I can't seem to find one anywhere for my car. Do they evan make one for the 01 rs 2.5?

Any other cat back suggestions?

If your on a budget you should consider having a shop weld up a custom 2.25 cat back. buy your muffler, cat, and resonator on-line or some where you get a good deal.

I'm not too concerned with price. Considering the Stromung dual tip muffler is the most expensive part of the setup, I don't think I'd take it to a shop to have them weld an intermediate pipe on there.

Any other suggestions?

I went ahead and ordered the Stromung cat back from Scott. I can't wait.

Will I need a resonator?

too late.

question. Would it be wise and/or necessary to get aftermarket hangers, like kartboy?

Also, how many gaskets will I need, and where do I get them?

Why do you say that? Headers I will get at a later date, but why do you say that about the Cobb cat back?

Because Cobb and Subaru go together like peanut butter and jelly.

yeah COBB makes everything especially for Subaru, they have spent to much time on their products. I just ordered the CAI from COBB, and they said its on back order and expect to ship in 2-4 weeks.

Nice picture, right next to a cop car.

Was he writing you up while you took the picture?

Back on topic, I really like the COBB stuff. It looks good, seems to work as advertized and they have good support.

I hate the cost and the sometimes long wait. But, all they do is Subaru and have been doing it for awhile.
