Default Markus - secret suspension mod

Hi Markus,

You had mentioned that there is a piece of metal bolted to the suspension and its only purpose was to dampen noise and vibration. Do you recall?

I think I know what you are talking about...

simple weight saving mod that I did to my car.

look under the car... and right under where the engine is (almost centered) is a piece of metal that goes across part of the frame. You should see it it's pretty obvious and is about 6"x6" it's held on by a couple of bolts and is quite heavy for its size.

I may be mistaken but scoobymods may have a DIY on that too.

Does this apply to 2002+ also or is it just a GC thing?

Randy,

Sorry for the tardy reply. We just got home from a holiday in Greece last night, so I have been away from the board for about 2 weeks.

I'm off to a friend's wedding in Jasper this afternoon, so you can call me at my cell to discuss. I just have to many goodies on my car to make discussion of this usefull on the board.

Call me at 982-4720.

Cheers,
MB
