Has passed away. I do not know any details but there is a post on SLCSR about it.

I always enjoyed shooting the **** with you man!

im sorry to hear that...i thought you where just going to say that he did something stupid when i opend this thred....but to find this out sucks way bad....i always liked to talk smack w/ him at autoX as sutch, cant belive he is gone. i saw him at MG like a week ago and he looked fine.

From what I've found out, it was due to complications from Pneumonia. JP was definitely one of the coolest guys in SLC. He was the type that treated you like a good friend the day he met you. He will be missed greatly and I'd like to give my condolences to all of my friends at MG/COBB and to JP's family.

Being his roommate I know a little about what is going on. He did not have pneumonia. The doctors originally thought he did, but found out his heart was just too weak and it wasn't pumping fluid through the lungs like it should so there was fluid build-up, but not from pneumonia. He had some other issues working against him but the biggest thing was his heart. He only lasted a few hours once they realized that was the problem.

Also, he left behind 2 cute little kids and there is a trust fund being put together for them by Christian at Modern Garage. Here is a link to where you can Donate to them DONATE!!

I just heard the news from Chistian... This is truely a sad, very sad day. I have known JP for years and infact talked to him late last week over the phone (seeing that I live in CA now) He was as always in the best of spirits and never lead on of any ill health. We chatted about cars none the less. I was really looking forward to seeing and hanging out with him again on my trip to Utah later this month.

JP, you will be missed.

My condolences to Heidi, the little ones, Christian, Tyler, Trey and everyone else who worked, played or just hung out at Modern Garage and Cobb Tuning.

JP was an awesome guy, it is truly sad that this has happened, but he will live forever in our memories! R.I.P. JP.

I just met him and had dinner with him Saturday night at the Cobb Meet. Life is so fleeting, we must enjoy every moment of it. My condolences go to his family and freinds at MG/Cobb...

This is a big shock to say the least. I feel even worse now that I was not able to make it back to the Modern Garage/Cobb Tunnng meet to see everyone. I would like to send my condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed by all.

That's too bad.... I don't know if I met JP or not at the last COBB meet... but all the modern garage guys seemed cool as h3ll, very nice idea on the drive, post lots of pics.

Wow...I can't believe it. I just met JP a few weeks ago but everytime I went in to Modern he was always very helpful.

My sympathy goes out to everyone at Modern and Cobb, his family and freinds.
