Question Tactical display

Do you know the little tactical display of the baja between the speedometer and tachometer? It's really called the door ajar warning system. Is an open tailgate indicated on that display? On the quick refernce guide that came with the car it shows a red light behind the car indicating a tailgate in the down position. My 03 baja doesn't indicate a tailgate down. I was just wondering if there really is a light for that.

I don't think so. My 04 doesn't have it and it is not in the manual that there is a light. But if the light is really there, then it could be kinda easy to tap into that light and add a sensor to it for the tailgate.

its not for the tail gate being down.

the light comes on when the pass through hatch is open and you are driving.

Blu light, There is a sperate light for the switch back being open. I drive my Baja with the back seat down, switch back open, and tailgate down.... no red light on tactical.
