With a stock shortblock? Do you want the engine to live hours, hundreds of miles, or ten thousands of miles?

A 50hp shot is fine with out doing any damage on a stock engine. provided you don't run it lean.

Trey Cobb did this (Yes the Trey Cobb)and had no problems whatsoever.

Seek HELP quickly, you have already been infected with the NOS bug! This is no joke, you are in the early stages of becoming a NOS junkie. I have never seen a case so advanced when the Juice is not even on your car yet. You must break free of this horrid condition.. for your sake and your engines!

Bottles are for babies.

I would be real careful, and have some sort of piggy back fuel system controls and lots of cut off settings if something goes wrong.

I run a NX kit (50hp Jets) and love it. It's cheap horsepower and as long as you don't abuse it, it won't hurt the engine.

They key word is DON'T ABUSE IT. It's already too late for me. I know something is going to happen. In the meantime; 1)Don't use it for prolonged periods, 2)Engage the Nos after 3k rpm, 3)Don't go using higher shot/jetting that is not recommended, 4)Try not to use it frequently, 5)Follow all instructions (Installation, use and warnings).

I almost went up to the highest jetting the last event I was at (10/15, Atco). I called RalliSpec (My Nos counselors) and they warned me that I shouldn't do it for Murphy's Law purposes. Im glad I didn't go there. I would've though. It's damn addictive!

You don't shut it off at any particular rpm. You run it until you are finished racing. You should not run it any longer than 15 seconds though.

I heared that the trany can't hack the nos when shifting, so they told me to use the nos only in 3rd gear????
When i asked about shuting off the nos,, i plan to use a rpm window to turn on and off the nos in every gear...
