Question Syms Headers???

Does anyone out there know anything about the beautiful Syms headers I've seen a couple of different web sites? Anyone that sells Syms
products doesn't seem to carry their headers.
How do they compare to the newly redesigned
Borla's? I plan on adding on headers when I install Shiv's turbo package to my yet to arrive '01 RS. Thanks everyone, Jeff.

The Syms headers were designed for the factory turbo cars. They will fit the EJ25, but they don't clear the crossmember. If you replace that, however, they fit fine. On the other hand, they won't mate up properly to the Vishnu turbo kit. If you're willing to do the work, however, you can use everything but the plumbing from the turbo kit and get the rest (from header outlet to exhaust) fabricated. It'd be a cool setup, but it's a lot of work. If I remember correctly, Imprezer is using these for his custom turbo setup. If you decide to go for it, let us know.

I have driven a Subaru with the Syms N/A header on with no other mods. The header made a amazing improvement in performance.

Syms headers are back order till the first of the year, I think. The Syms products are so popular in Japan that they are trying to keep up with demand.
WWW.SPOMotorsports.com is the North American Syms dealer.

Marquis, Syms make a NA header for use in their JTCC Impreza which is a normally aspirated 2.0l.

Does the 2.0l exhaust look just like the 2.5l? That is, will the turbo kits that bolt up to the stock manifold bolt up right to the Syms NA header? And if so, is the piece adequate? That is, a header designed for an NA 2.0l hardly seems right for a 2.5l turbo motor.
