Cool Ran 15.109 tonight @ the Point

Just thought I would let everyone know what I ran tonight, I was kinda excited

Timeslip:

Reaction: .732 (my slowest thus far, usually in .500's)
60ft.: 2.011
E.T.: 15.109
MPH: 88.897

Well that's it, my dial-in was 15.2, thought I was safe since I had been running 15.267. But, oh well I'm happy I broke into the 15.1's

Later,
-Adam

Thumbs up

Mods, sure!

Let's see:

Intake: JC Sports
Exhaust: 2.5" cat-back pipe w/Magna flow
Lightened flywheel (14.9lb)& ACT Clutch
Tires: 205/50 ZR16
Lightweight front bumper beam

Homemade Parts:
Short shifter
Heat Shield & ducts for True CAI
Relocated FPR & balanced fuel system (just did this one a few days ago)
I'm also toying with the Temp signal, but I'm NOT certain it has any effect.

Well, that's what I can think of for now.

Keep in mind that it was in the upper 90's today. It's usually Freeezing out there, so there should be room for improvement.

Hopefully High 14's, if I'm Lucky and it's Really Cold outside

Thanks Guys,

IMPBOY, I was talking to some SE-R guys, they mentioned a Blue, gutted RS that use to be out there running low 15's. I said, yeah that's IMPBOY! But I think he's goin' Turbo.

James, what was your best time?

So far on Kevin Thomas' 1/4 mile registry, this will make me 3rd fastest NA 2.5RS. The top two belong to Andre & Josh, both with COBB Tuning goodies.

Anyways, that's it for now

Yeah, let me know Andy when you've got some time. I was actually thinking of making mine a little shorter So maybe we could do it on the same day! Or if you like mine, maybe we could do a quick swap Let me know!

I just bought a 10lb. spool of welding wire, after running out when I was making my Homemade Rear Endlinks. Now I've got plenty, for a loooong time

mcgyver,

you have a shorter shifter than what is out there? I would love to get my greedy little hands on one. The Kartboy is short but I want shorter...

Congrats on the time...

So how much welding do you do? Could you give someone some tips on welding? I have a welder but have done very little with it since I know very little about how to do it.

Later,
Get those high 14's

Wink

GOD here...Not

I'm definately not that good, I'm getting better by doing more projects. I Really don't know what I'm doing, I just picked it up one day and started using it Maybe we should have a little chop & weld fest soon

Ahh..The endlinks, a picture says 1000 words so, I'll try to post one later (when I put batteries in it) Then we can all critique and determine if they are beneficial compared to the stockers

Laterz,
Adam

Chop and weld fest sounds awesome. Do you have a place to weld things. When and where, how about later into June or maybe July? I can also bring my welder along. It is nothing fancy but it gets the job done for the most part.

How do you think I made my front gutter guard grill. My first Weld project. WELDING 101

Congrats Mcgyver. I think I'm gonna go to Sears next Wed for the last shot at breaking the 15 while still N/A. I'll have to see my work schedule.

My best time was 15.02__ something. Not sure the last digit. 60' was 1.898 but that's from dropping the clutch at redline so not someting I'd ever do again. I usually get 2.0 or 2.1 when fading the clutch.

Oh ya, I never hit 88mph yet though.
