I have a similar Pioneer unit that has the parking break sensor. Basically, instead of clipping it to the wire that runs to the parking break sensor, ground it somewhere and laugh at those who havn't.

for my alpine, while holding the brake down, you have to pull up on the e-brake, then down, then back up for the dvd player to work. I just wired a switch in the change holder. I still have to hold the brake and flip the switch back and forth a few times. You can still wire it to your e-brake and just pull it up one click, thats if you can deal with the brake light on your dash.

Here's a hint, run a switch because if you get pulled over by a cop, they might check and make sure it's in place (I know there's a law here about DVD players/TV screens that can be seen by the driver, not sure about your area)

Yeah I just clipped the wire that was installed to the e-brake from my installers to a ground right by the e-brake handle under the center console. I also have a kenwood deck and there are no problems.
