Default Factory Auto Locking Door Locks

Has anyone experienced their factory door locks auto locking by themselves?

This has happened three times within the past couple of days. For the first two times, I was not around since my car was in the garage. But today, while I was in the garage, I noticed my parking lights flashed about 3 times (not sure how many times they flashed since I was not really paying attention) then heard my power door locks activate and lock the entire car.

I did install an aftermarket alarm (Scyteck - Galaxy 5000) about 2 months ago, but I haven't had this problem until the last couple of days.

I have a 2005 WRX Impreza Wagon. Any ideas?

perhaps your alarm is configured to passively lock the doors after 30 seconds. test it by shutting off the vehicle open and close the doors. if your alarm has been configured to passive lock and/or arm it will lock itself after at least 30 seconds.

I de-activated the passive door lock option when I installed the alarm. But I'll go ahead and check again.

Any other ideas?

Also, does the factory alarm have the passive door lock option that I need to manually de-activate?

Aliens sending love letters to your car and your car saying no.

Really... I wish that the factory alarm system passive arming had included auto-locking the doors in its actions.
