Talking Update: May 20 Auto-X

Lets gets a number of people who are coming to the Auto-X this sat.

Side Note: if doorknob and/or bluesaint don't show up, im going postal...

Another Side Note: Unfortunately the TVR Cerbera will not be there as stated before. The owner might be there but he is going to bring another car (another plain car)

Yeah, that's about right.

Thumbs up

I keep having this recurrent wet dream, where it's rainy and slippery and bumpy ... hey, one can hope, eh?

I'm probably bringing a friend with an Integra GSR, maybe a Prelude friend, and maybe even a Taurus driver! (company car, hehehe)

I'm bringing my Family Radio Service (FRS/Talkabout) 2-way radio as well as a CB. Anybody else? How about we standardize on Channel 14 for both CB and FRS (NO CTCSS CODE for FRS!!).

By the way, I just heard that there is another autocross type event at De Anza College on Sunday??? Anybody know about this?

I'll be there Saturday!

Sev, are you racing this time? Are you going to leave in the middle again?

Yup, DeAnza College has an autocross this Sunday. But I don't know if I am going to that one. I did it couple years ago. They ran the cars different than SCCA. Everyone waited in one long line, no matter what group you're in, and you get 3 continuous laps when it's your turn. Think I waited 2 hrs in line!!

Cool

Does anyone want to caravan to the AutoX on Saturday.....I think it would be awsome if everyone there saw a bunch of Subaru's rolling into the event.

If so.....where and when to meetup????

Just a suggestion.

I am thinking about going with Alex this weekend. But I was wondering if any one is planning on bringing their girlfriends/wives?
If any guys have previously brought them before could you ask them if they got really bored there?
Thanks a bunch.

First things first, Sev... what are you talking about postal?

And no rain... very bad for a first timer. Bruce just run for the hell of it. I still have stock tires and am planing on running.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't ST-r the first run group?! That means... we gonna get there real early.

As for gf/wives, I know that Josh's wife came last time. She rode shotgun for one of his runs. I got the impression she enjoyed it, but you'll have to ask Josh.

Cool

We could all meet at STiSev's house since he lives close and then caravan over:-)

Getting there early is a good idea and run in any group, just to get a time, unless you want to be a "contender" for points and all..

Most important: My brother is on the National
Board and says there is a lot of talk that the "Subaru" guys do not work their "work group". Don't do that please, for the other subaru drivers that care.

Girlfriends have fun when they can drive...or participate in some way. Its like going shopping for a bra, its no fun to just sit there, well maybe;-)

G stock is our class (I think-unless you're modified) but you can run with any class if you want, unless you are worried about points. Don't forget your work group:-)

Brucelee, if you want to go over together, lets do it, but I want to go early and that
means walk the course by 8:30 so we will have to leave Fremont by 7:30...how about Adrian (glad to here you have your car back)?

Due to some circumstances out of my control I will have to leave fairly early in the auto-x sorry

Your not looking through the eyes of other people. We have AWD. A huge advantage in the rain. If it rains all the corvettes, integras everyone with slicks will be slicking themselves off the track. I hope for all your sakes it does rain. Then again, I'm not asking for hurricane andrew or anything .

what's the point of coming to an auto-x when your not going to auto-x? To watch yes, but my main concern is to see your stromung exhaust in action. This exhaust decision of mine will be made rather quickly. bluesaint got the sti v4 but hasn't recieved it. I was hoping to do a side by side comparison, so i guess stromung will have to do for now..

Side Note: Bruce thanks for the stock exhaust, ill fire off an email to you when I recieved the new stromung exhaust and ill drop off your stock exhaust at randy's house.

I'm ok with the caravan. Just make sure you guys don't pull the e-brake around here in the middle of the neighborhood. (Theres a lot of kids running around I guess)
If I'm awake (which hopefully I will be) i'll show you guys my subaru-infested room. Also I will be bringing a very close friend of mine who actually was the reason I bought a subaru so be nice to him (he's the nicest person I know. From here you guys have easy access to 101 .

How many cars are we expecting to come to my house here? email me the number of cars stisev@home.com
I'd like to think there are enough parking for a LOT of different cars over here. So I guess my house it is.

BTW: my address is

340 Mira Vista Way
South San Francisco
CA 94080

PS: sorry if the quotes bothered anyone. Usin quotes was the best way to respond to everyone's questions.

Caravan: I'll be driving up from Cupertino perhaps with a few friends, but am not getting up any earlier than I have to! Let's just stake out an area of the parking lot and meet there. I'll try to pull an Arik and bring donuts too.

S/O's: not bringing the g/f this time because she works on Saturdays now, but she has come before and had fun. Then again she is one of those rare souls who actually likes it when I go nuts on the corners of mountain roads. YMMV.

Bring your FRS radios so we can caravan to lunch or whatever!!

See you guys there! Remember to inflate your tires before you come and/or bring a portable air compressor!

Cheers,
Joe

Well, Looks like I might be the only girl there. I hope to have fun. Next time all of you guys should bring your girlfriends(Ashley and Michele, and all of the other girls that I haven't met yet). Maybe us girls could even race our own cars and kick some ass.

7:15!!!! 7:30!!!! My god you guys are animals! That's earlier than I would be for work!

I am getting my sway bar, end links, and underdrive pulley on Saturday...but there is no way they will arrive before the auto-x.

Hey, did you guys read my Boy Scout post? Please do.

I will be there a little bit later on Saturday, but will be there for sure!

I just remembered something, if someone have a set of stock lug nuts laying around, please bring it with you. I am running Josh's slicks on stock tires and can't use my Advan lugnuts with them. I am desparate!!! Please!
