Can i make the hvac red on a 04 wrx and another q is what color is the cluster?

im checking out a 04 wrx on friday and im just wondering as i have only sat in some 02's and an sti is the cluster on the 04 wrx red?

04's are green backlit with a red needle... looks substantially nicer than the 02-03 green backlight + yellow needle. I like my STI cluster in my 03 though

may be a noob question, but with a sti cluster, does it go by the miles on the cluster, or does the car send the information to the cluster electronically, basiacly does will your milage chage to the milage that the cluster was taken out of?
