I will be running a 2.5l bottom end with WRX heads, but won't have anything to do with the stock WRX turbo.

Can't comment on the stock WRX turbo but I'm running an EJ257 w/STi V3 heads and stock VF23 turbo. Currently I'm using the stock ECU w/o anything else. She runs fine and pretty fast but she runs pig rich.

Someday, I'll either run an Apex Power FC or a PossumLink but until then I'm satified w/the way she runs.

Default 2.5

I have been thinking about the same thing. How much more power can you expect from the extra .5 liter and a little larger head? Has anyone compared the flow of a stock 2.0 head against one with a port job and a 2.5 head? The JDM STI V8 head looks nice but to much money for me right now. Tucker

I am running that setup with a VF30 turbo and an EXTREMELY conservative Ecutek tune. 92 octane.

On a Mustang Dyno I was right at 270Whp and 270 torque at 17-18 psi. Stock STi is getting 230Whp on this dyno. There is quite a bit of boost taper (down to 13-14psi IIRC) at the top, so I will be looking into a larger turbo towards the middle of the year. I have full boost by 2.8-3k.

Not big numbers, but the car is a blast to drive and I am happy with it.

Adams car will suck the eyeballs out the back of your head.

I think he is in the 400+whp range IIRC.
