If it's four years old and has 350k miles, the clutch hasn't been used a lot. Sounds like an interstate traveller to me.

How could that many miles not be highway miles. My 00 rs has 132k. I changed the clutch at 100k while I was installing a lightweight flywheel. I could have left the original clutch in there because it still looked fine.

My Headgasket spewed at less than 60k. Luckily the motor was ok. It really depends how it is treated, maintained and driven.

117K miles on mine. Drivne hard every day and raced occasionally. Recently it has developed a small (1 quart over 4-6 weeks) oil consumption problem...
New clutch/flywheel at 40K miles to fix shudder. (It returned) New head gaskets at 90K miles. (Warranty repair) Brake pads replaced at 50K miles. Needs a new clutch slave cylinder. Regular changes of all fluids (oil, gear lube, diff lube, antifreeze, brake, clutch, etc) Regular filter changes as well as plugs and wires... The car has not given me any unreasonable problems for the flogging it gets day to day... |
