Can you switch between real-time maps with out having to connect the green connectors and that other peace? Or do you always have to hook them up to do this?

Yes you can switch rt maps any time by just pluging in AP to diagnosis port connection under steering wheel.
No you don't have to hook up the other connections unless you are changeing base maps. ![]() |

Pg. 17 of the user's manual states that you do not need to install the init connector to change real time maps. All you need to do is plug in the Ap to your OBD II port, and turn your ignition to "ON".

I'll further confirm. No need to mess with the green connectors while changing realtime maps.

if you want, you can change real time maps while you're driving down the street. Of course i would never condone this. . .

you only need to connect the bottom connectors if you are reflashing the base maps. Real time maps you just plug in the AP and select.

the biggest confusing part is when you check your current map and it doesn't show the Real Time map. I had a hard time with this until research shows that it's the normal behavior... you'd think that wouldn't be the case, yet, there it is...

is it ok to switch maps while on teh go, ie: still driving? like if your in eco map, can you switch to stg2 RT on the fly, or do you need to stop? I know its safest to stop, but will it be ok?
Thanks, Steven |

I believe you have to stop because you have to run the car off and back on to make the map effective. Not to mention I would do it anyway as to risk mine or others safety.

No you don't have to stop to change rt maps or turn key on or off. You can change rt maps on the fly while driving.
I can confirm this, as I have done it many times. ![]() |
