Default 10PSI Evo Killer

At LACR I pulled a 14.0 Run at 95MPH with 1.8 60'. I was racing an Evo and he took off sooner than me and I pulled on him. I could not get anything over 10PSI when this heappend.

How would this work?

I dont think so. Hes 60 was 1.8 and I did not notice any miss shifts. I also have to tell you. My car has tons of mods with VF39 P&P. I just maxed out my injectors and tunin I guess that is why I ran at 10PSI. The thing Im wondering is Would I make more power at 10PSI than an EVO?

No.

Did you ask him or something afterwards? If you had problems, maybe so did he? Pretty easy to come to that conclusion.

At LACR a stock EVO or STI is really hard to brake in to Low 14s and High 13s. THis Track sucks because of its altitude. I have pulled a 13.8 with my friends STI there. And I went down to 13.5 with my WRX. The rison I put stock Injectors is I cant get my car tuned yet and it was just killing my gas milage. Hopfully soon Ill get it tuned. Where do you guys sugest for a good tuning.
Thanx

I knew there was a reason I I kept running 12.7's @ 115 mph @ LACR

Just another excuse for me to use before I admit that I cant launch or shift.

I talked to a couple guys that come up from LA and said they run a good 0.5 slower at LACR.
I love the people that tell me that elevation doesnt matter for a forced induction car. "But your running at 20 psi no matter where you are so it shouldnt matter." I just tell them I can shove piles of shiiittt into my motor at 30 psi but it doesnt mean its gonna run.

Really I havent seen any evos do that my self. I really would like to see. I have seen an SRT4 at LACR that was doing low 11s there. Which means he was around High 10s

Actually the altitude does make a tremendus diference. The higher you go the thiner is the oxygen constration. And you need as much oxygen as you can get. And on top of this LACR has a slight tilt to it.
And 20psi is not the same no matter where you are. It all dipends on the air presur and the tempature of the location your at.
