Default Playing MP3's in radio

I just purchased a 5 seat limited without navigation. It has the 6 CD player with mp3 capibility. My question is...is the folder and title supposed to scroll on the display so it all can be seen?
The manual talks about scrolling, but no matter what I do I see only a partial of the title unless I hit info button, then it jumps to the next part of the title and so on, finally back to the first screen. They talk about scrolling in the manual and I think of that as marquee like, where the title automatically rolls across the screen. Am I expecting something that won't happen, or could my mp3 format be incorrect?

Also, when the next song starts it returns to and stays on the first screen until the info button is pushed.

Not complaining...this vehicle has so many toys I just need to learn how to use them.

You're in the tribeca forum.. so unless you have a tribeca radio.... you're out of luck for playing mp3s/ showing titles.

Titles are embedded in MP3 files as ID3 tags.

What's strange is that it can show titles of the album but not titles of the song. It only shows filename.

BTW, back to OP's question, the software in the radio and even Nav does not seem to have any scroll capability.

Any pictures of the radio?

I would love to switch out the radio in my Forester for one of these. I have looked at aftermarket units and I would love to have the stock look.

Good luck doing this without major fabrication... the thing I dislike most about my RX8 and the subie... wish they would have gone with a standard form factor. The overall presentation is nice in both cars, but for modding or later upgrades, it's kinda difficult
