Adjusting your air pressure will help get the tail loose, if thats what you want. Run around 40psi up front and 30 in the rear. That should help get you nice and sloppy.
You just need to learn how your car reacts. Go to a big parking lot and play around(off hours of course!) Don't use the e-brake! |

The best way to drift without any preperation (brake adjustment, tires, etc) is a quick tug on the e-brake. You can do it on dry pavement going 30mph if your timing gets good enough. The important thing is to use the e-brake to start the slide, then take the brake off (don't even let go of the button, hold it in... pull the brake up, and put it down almost right away) and give it a lot of gas.

Yanking the e-brake will f-up your center dif. if I'm not mistaken. I did it once and the mighty clunk below did not sound good! But yeah, that will get you around in a hurry!

Take a look at the video from the AutoX in my previous post. That was done doing a variation of the "Scandanavian Flick".
1) With the tires I was using (BFG G-Force KD), the pressures were set at 50 psi front, and 40 psi rear. The tire pressures will vary with the type of tires you use. 2) Accelerate in a straight line up to 35 mph 3) Push full throttle and turn your wheel 90 degrees to the left, just enough to compress the RHS suspension 4) Reduce throttle input (0 throttle) (weight transfer) and gradually turn your wheel 90 degrees to the right. 5) The car will enter a drift forcing the tail of the car outwards (left) modulate your throttle lightly to keep the drift going or push hard on the throttle to power out. Practice makes perfect... Enjoy Note: Do this only in a closed / controlled environment supervised by professional instructors, if you are doing this for the first time. Do not do this on the open road, please!!!! |

1. Flick wheel left (for a right hand drift)
2. Hit gas, turn wheel right 3. Have fun drifting 4. Buy new tires. |

(might have to right-click-save) My process: #1 - Come into corner, start turn #2 - clutch in e-brake until you feel the back end break #3 - clutch-out HARD on gas (keep the wheels straight... AWD drifts do not take place with opposite-lock) #4 - (here is where you guys will hate me) If the car starts to hook up during the drift, pop the e-break quickly while still on the gas. YES, this warms up the center diff a bit, but keeps ya pointed in the right direction! ![]() E-brake will only "hurt" the center diff when the power is down, if you clutch it when you handbrake you take the stress off of the center...
